Hi all, I took a break to get coffee so I wanted to update everyone on the 8 am meeting.

They handed out the memo I already outlined and then the big boss left the room and our senior staffers basically lectured us on properly using the internet, it was pretty ridiculous, but there was a hint of people are getting pushed out because someone was fucking around on the internet while at work. The email updates were related to this.

As for the no-time-off thing we were all told that there will be no leave granted until June 17, and anyone who had leave (only one person in our office) would have to cancel. They literally threw a fit and was told tough shit and to cancel it so they don't seem to be fucking around. We weren't given any real reason aside from the boss needs everyone here to handle things the next two weeks. This same conversation happened in all House and Senate offices at once according to her.

The other weird thing is we were told to double up in our meetings to make sure we show a presence, and they assigned us a bunch of odd meetings we usually don't go to. I don't want to get into specifics, but there are some big "important" meetings this week like H.R. 2500 and H.R. 2181 that we were told to focus on - both way outside of my specialty, and 2181 doesn't seem like something unusual or something we have to pay attention to.

I don't have any other info on stuff really but I'll keep everybody updated on those meetings and what I hear. There are a decent amount of pro-Q staffers, but we don't openly discuss it, but now some people are talking about the posts I made here so I'm going to be a bit more careful.
