8chan mods taking sides with /v/theawakening, wtf? (GreatAwakening)

Can someone explain to me why the mods of qresearch on 8chan would (a) take sides in the first place, (b) choose a subverse which is on private for all intents and purposes and (c) do it with such gleeful and reckless abandon?
