It hit me when Dr. Lester Grinspoon died recently.. I saw a photo of him it was instantly obvious. Then I asked myself well who else is a big name in cannabis legalization? Jack Herer! Holy fuck. Ok.. WHO ELSE? Fuckin (((ED ROSENTHAL)))!!! WTF!!! Now, I’m a pro-cannabis guy, I’ve worked in a dispensary, I’ve seen it help a lotta people, even shrinking cancerous tumors away for some folks, so I believe in the medicine. Where my brain goes when I see all these fuckin Jews being at the helm of the movement.. and Israel being a leader in medical research into cannabis.. makes me wonder if they were only stifling any actual progress in the US. Or maybe cannabis is the devil lettuce and I’m in denial.. any thoughts on this one, goats?

I've always enjoyed cannabis and psilocybin. These have been in use for eons. Its intertwined in many religions. I look at cannabis as 1 step above Coffee when it comes to mind altering drugs.
Some people become lazy, weak and anti social... I suspect those people would be lost even without cannabis.
Since I woke up on The Question I've been taking notice of my lazy anti social behavior. As long as you address the problems in your life there's nothing wrong with having a puff a couple times a day or maybe really "smoking out" once a weekend.

I quit smoking recently (about a year ago) after 23 years. I'd always wondered if it had any effect on me regarding demotivation or reducing intellectual capacity or any other such. Since quitting the major effects I have noticed are as follows:
Dreams are more vivid and frequent (at least I remember them more often)
Memory has improved slightly, barely noticably
Watch fewer movies
Play fewer video games
Sex is less enjoyable
I can't stand people
Difficulty shutting off my mind when I go to sleep (main reason I'd been smoking so long) which causes some insomnia
Honestly I don't think it had any net negative impact on me, though, I was an extremely light smoker. Truth said, the main reason I quit is cause you have to deal with arabs to get any where I live and I can't stand arabs and don't want to give them money.

Do you eat enough Omega 3 compared to the Omega 6 and 9 you take in?
I recommend a raw cod liver oil supplement but who the fuck am I, right? Look into it.

I consume a great amount of olive oil. I also eat fish at least once or twice a week and there are a lot of nuts in my diet as well. I think I get my Omega 3s.
I don't think nutrition is the problem. I'm not sure how to say this without coming off as some kind of braggart, so I usually don't mention it, but I'm in the extreme high IQ range. My mind races constantly and sometimes I have trouble shutting down at night.
This is something I have had to deal with my whole life. It was a big part of why I smoked so long. As far as the sex goes, since I would smoke before bed I would be high for sex and it would enhance the sensations.
I do appreciate the friendly advice though. If you have any other suggestions I'll listen. I just don't think the problem is my omega intake.

Learn to meditate and clear your mind and/or exercise before bed so that you're tired enough to fall asleep right away. Insomnia tends to occur when there is a disconnect in wakefulness between the body and the mind.

Those are both solutions I have used over the years to overcome the problem, even when I was smoking. They do work, though exercise is a lot more efficient than meditation.

I should have worded that way better...haha. Sorry.
Look into Omega 3 ratio and using cod liver oil for vitamins A and D as well as it ups your omega 3 intake. K2 from cheese is important for Vitamin D synthesis.
