I was innoculated in the 70's. We were one of the last generations to get the small pox vaccine. It's on the rise. Look it up. It's deadly. I have no sauce, but I did read that they are having to create it again as the batch for posterity was destroyed or something. Natural News probably has an archive on it.
If you don't have a scar that means the injection you got didn't immune you to the disease, it was a problem with some of the vaccines back then - sorry charlie.

I'm saying that you can get a smallpox vaccination, BUT, if you have no scar that means the vaccination they gave you did not work and your body built up no antibodies against the disease. These are known as "No-Takes" in the immunology world. So yes, you can be vaccinated and yes you can have no scar, but you also have no immunity because your body did not form antibodies - which is the purpose of the vaccine.

So your saying the scar means the body formed the antibodies and since I did not scar, my body didnt? Well, if that's true, then what about all the others? Sheesh, I never got sick as a kid, save the time my friends son gave me chicken pox a 24. That was terrible.
I don't think you have to worry since Smallpox has been eradicated. I was just pointing out that some of the vaccines back then didn't work and that was a way to tell, you don't have to be defensive. Also, it sucks that you got chicken pox at 24.

In 1980 the military gave me one because the were unsure of the scar I had from getting it as a kid.

Not everyone got that scar. I remember kids healing from it. That was strange indeed. I didn't scar.
