Veganism is a cult religion. When you deliberately distort your natural diet, there are consequences. Human beings are designed to eat meat as well as fruits, vegetables, grains and other plant foods.
Vegans feel good immediately after switching to veganism because they cut out a lot of bad things from their diet, particularly bread and corn, which suck without meat or butter to complement them. Then, much time later, nutrient deficiencies begin to crop up as they are unable to resupply important vitamins and minerals through veganism.
Some people, like Jordan Peterson, advocate for an all carnivore diet, as it eases some of their autoimmune symptoms.
To find the best diet for you, start with only one food (e.g. beef), and eat that one food for 30 days. Then, add another food (e.g. broccoli) and eat those two foods for 30 days. You'll notice the reactions you have to the food after a month and be able to decide for yourself if you want to keep it in your diet.
Nutrient deficiencies do not "begin to pop up" the modern diet is already deficient. Many people are deficient in magnesium for example. Which nutrient deficiencies "pop up" due to a vegan diet? B12? Simple as taking a pill everyday. B12 is a deficiency that can affect anyone.
