They caught US two spooks hacking. The US is busted. http://tass.com/world/1048230?mc_cid=75ced594bb&mc_eid=90a0db10a6

Sure are a lot of shills here today...

Given the timing of the blackout and how it is politically expedient to US foreign interests, I believe him. When's the last time they had a blackout that took out power to the majority of the country?

Tyranny-News-Network ago

Yeah, I have to agree that the sentiment of comments is unusual. It's easy to detect really. The vast majority of alt-news subscribers (certainly indie news activists) are anti-US corruption. They appreciate the potential of the US but readily point out its various corrupt aspects. Anytime a post almost totally avoids the issue of US corruption, it's a fair bet that the posters are stifling dissent.

If Hillary sold all our secrets to the whole world, it could have been any of those countries. Israel, China, Russia, Japan, Canada, EU, Australian and anyone else who got into the Hillary Clinton server.

goatboy ago

That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

Harmonically coupled energy weapons couple to every similar material in a region. It's not going to blow out the power plant and leave the toaster alone!

Fucking idiot. Maduro should have said one of the X-Men used mutant ability to cause all the staff to get the shits for a month and couldn't come to work. A ridiculous shit post is always more preferable than a boring deflection.

NotALawyer ago

He will say anything that has a probability of deflecting blame from nepotic, useless government.

Ignore and carry on. They fucked the country sideways, and now try to blame anyone but oil-funded socialism.

Men13 ago

Oh, the Venezuela president said so? Then it must be true! He would never shift the blame from his failed policies to someone else, so it must be true!

SkrutinizeYou ago

I hope it was. I like to think there's some hidden pocket of American secret military out there that's still hellbent on stifling socialists and commies wherever they sprout.

Step 1: CIA niggers install socialist/dictatorial regime in a country.

Step 2: Incite economic collapse/violence.

Step 3: Democracy, Freedom, Murica'. Oh btw, your natural recources belong to the Shecklebergs now.

Recognize the POWER of POTUS!

Vhaine ago

Maduro is a fucking bus driver. He doesn't know the difference between KFC and EMP. Marines could literally be walking down the street of Caracas live on tv and I'd still need 2 additional sources before I believed him. He's the ultimate diversity hire.

BlueDrache ago

Title should say:. "Communist Lies About Everything Again"

peacegnome ago

Or it was attacked by socialism.

NotALawyer ago

Their president is a bus driver.

BlueDrache ago

He drives the off cliffs.

Hmmm directional electromagnetic weapons that risk getting disclosed to take down a 3rd world shithole power plant OR it's run by incompetent niggers that haven't eaten properly in months...Yep, definitely the USA!!!!

Reddit-is-kill ago

EMP weaponry isn't new, secretive, or hard to make. The US isn't the only country to have it.

If the u.s. anything secretive by the alleged attack, it's that it happened, not the technology used.

Fullmetal ago

Very true, but a cyber attack isn't out of the question.

Bonnie564 ago

They run an analog system which cannot be hacked. Other type of attack?

Fullmetal ago

There's a network connected digital system in there somewhere. Remember the Iran centrifuge hack? At this time, analog systems are more expensive than digital systems. The only analog systems still in use are ancient.

The transformers exploding at the power plant support the cyber attack theory. It suggests a malicious actor infiltrated the power distribution control systems, in a somewhat subtle manner, and directed all the energy output of the plant to a single transformer when they tried to bring it back online. Insta-BOOM! They managed to do it in a way that caused the technicians to waste time on red-herrings so they blew a couple more transformers when they tried again... and again.

NotALawyer ago

Why though. Its been collapsing since 2013 in a slowfall, why risk international incident if you can just stand aside, sip a margharita and watch the theatre?

Fullmetal ago

They're cheap, hard to prove, and effective.

Letting the situation continue runs the risk of the local regime recovering, or stalling out and going North Korea which would leave you waiting forever.

And no matter which way it goes for you, your victim is in a no-win scenario. If they tell the truth then nobody will believe them. The only thing they can do is get the damned lights back on, quickly and quietly, and even if they manage to pull that off then they still can't say anything without either sounding like a scaremonger or incompetent for preventing a situation in the first place.

Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world. The problems Venezuela is having are in large part to US sanctions. Just like Syria and Libya, there is a huge push for war.

Goatonamountain ago

haven't eaten properly and tired of this situation

GodsAngell ago

They ate all the zoo animals months ago.

Goatonamountain ago

awww

Dildo-Shwaggins ago

The power plant was attacked by something far deadlier than an EMP, the plant was attacked by socialism.
