Have you noticed that there are no serious movies about clones? As far as I know, there are serious movies about almost any serious matter, but not clones. All we have are comedies or sci-fi movies set in the future. I can't understand why nobody is making serious movies about cloning, since it's plausible that they already exist among us. Are clones the best kept secret by the TPTB? I bet some unaware people are married to clones without even knowing it. Why nobody is talking about this?

A clone is just another person with the same DNA. Big woop.

And no soul. Your soul is given to you by God. Not the local scientists. God bless

...go back to the q-tard verses, please. You're clearly too ill-equipped to have a rational conversation.
dianemdeath ago
You just don't like the answers.

Your earlier statement indicates that you anthropomorphize your deity of choice. Given your capitalization, I'm going to assume some flavor of Christian, which would indicate that you have certain beliefs regarding the qualities of said deity. Those qualities are incompatible with anthropomorphization of said deity, making your beliefs inconsistent.
Shall I continue?
dianemdeath ago
Yes, I am Christan, Catholic to be precise and there's nothing you are going to say to sway my life long belief. So stating right off my beliefs' are inconsistent in some warped attempt to make me feel inferior will not work.
ThirteenthZodiac ago
I didn't say anything about persuading you to believe otherwise.
I have no qualms with your religious beliefs, and would actually prefer living in a significantly more Christian society than what we have today, specifically because Christianity was - for better or worse - the underpinning of Western civilization. As such I believe it plays a fundamental role in maintaining the social fabric that makes Western civilization possible to begin with, and - given that - I have no intention of attempting to sway you from that.
Instead, consider this discussion a way of clarifying your understanding of your religion and what it is, precisely, that you believe.
I'm not quite sure where to begin unpacking this. So let's try a different tack, shall we?
You made the assertion that "your soul is given to you by god." Would you expound on this, please? I have a few specific questions: (1) when is it, exactly, in your opinion, that a soul is invested in a creature?; and (2) ignoring the metaphysics of your religion for a moment (so let's avoid discussion of an afterlife and "sin"), what are the benefits of having a soul?
dianemdeath ago
Fair enough. The soul is. It exists. Created by God and indestructible. The soul is usually transferred to the being at conception. However, there are exceptions in timing.
ThirteenthZodiac ago
Fun thing about conception, is that lots of animals do that.
Bears, for instance. Bears mate in pretty much the same way people do.
Do bears have souls? Why or why not?
dianemdeath ago
This will surprise you, and not part of my religious upbringing, but yes. Animals have souls.
Wahaha ago
If animals have souls, why can't they get into heaven?
dianemdeath ago
Animals do go to heaven.
I'm not sure where we in general, were taught to believe that animals can't/don't go to heaven but they do.
