The numbers of people reported missing and dead reported in the media do not add up. The real number may be many thousands.
The media has reported 100...500..1,000 missing, increasing numbers based on the uncertain methodology of call-ins.
One reason to suspect that the death toll is very high is that the entire town burned down on Nov 8th, the same fire was discovered source: Cal fire. Here is the initial fire dept tweet, describing a small fire that morning
I propose an alternate methodology to arrive a worst-case death toll than the ones being reported:
Population of Paradise, CA: ~ 26,218 people
Population of people in local shelters: 1,400 people
Which begs the question: Where are the remaining 24,800 people?
Many are certainly evacuated, staying with family, in hotels, spread far and wide perhaps. But there is room for the real death toll to be much, much higher.

Man you do realize that people have family in other towns throughout this country so people could be going to family members houses instead of going to shelters.
