Houses are made out of dry, flammable materials, while plants are full of water. Or it's just simple insurance fraud.

The road is a firebreak. The houses could have spread a fire. The grass should still not be green though. Look questionable to me.
I would expect the grass to at least be brown.

Who cares what you expect? Are you a woodland firefighter or something or you just think the grass should be brown?

Who cares? We should all care. Something is definitely to with these fired. They don't leave a typical party if destruction.
