If you think about it, that's why a company like Go-Pro is not really a profitable business structure. They have designed a product that is extremely rugged and not meant to break. Granted they may make new and "improved" models, but if you are satisfied with the quality of the old one there is no incentive to buy a "new" model. They assumed everyone was just going to buy the next model of they were happy with they old, but if there was nothing really wrong with the old why replace it. In approximately six years they did transform the hand-held video market but their market value and profits have dwindled.
