It seems like mythology is based on a conflict between different bloodlines. The whole good versus evil thing. I have read that it started between Zeus (God) and Prometheus (Lucifer) and went from there. Of course, the names of the participants change based on the history and culture, but it is essentially the same plot- A Father has a Son, the Son is killed then resurrected. The Father is good and the Son is killed by someone evil.

I am an atheist, but I have read quite a bit about religion. I want to go back and reread some stories with the thought that the authors (good) were trying to warn us about the evilness in the world.

Perhaps the Bible stories were rewritten to place the blame on the Jews instead of the "Rulers" and "Authorities".
