It seems like mythology is based on a conflict between different bloodlines. The whole good versus evil thing. I have read that it started between Zeus (God) and Prometheus (Lucifer) and went from there. Of course, the names of the participants change based on the history and culture, but it is essentially the same plot- A Father has a Son, the Son is killed then resurrected. The Father is good and the Son is killed by someone evil.

I am an atheist, but I have read quite a bit about religion. I want to go back and reread some stories with the thought that the authors (good) were trying to warn us about the evilness in the world.

I'm half and half on being surprised it's that high and not. It's enough to easily control the government in a "democracy". Imagine a corporation with three share holders two have 49% but are diametrically opposed, so the guy with 2% actually has the control. Assume 80% of Dems and Reps (Liberals/Labour and Conservative/Tories) representatives vote with their party every time, controlling 30% of those that will swing vote likely means you control Congress/Parliament.

The thing is the working class generally violently detest pedophiles. Where I grew up in the UK when people found out one was in the neighborhood it was a lynch mob, the cops took the guy into custody so he wasn't killed because there was over a hundred people on his lawn.

If the general public knew it was that high I genuinely think it would end the government. The military almost exclusively recruits poor kids looking for an escape. There's not enough police to stop them, let alone everyone else who would be wanting blood. There wouldn't be systemic cover ups if their lives didn't rely on it being a secret.

I was reading about the Freemasonry/Jester/Shriner pedo issues. If that organization was decent, then the pedos would be weeded out early on. Instead, they make it to the higher levels. It is these people that are in positions of power in government, law enforcement, banking, etc.
