That user made a good pitch and is an active participant in /v/conspiracy, but perhaps we should let him speak for himself before breaking out the pitchforks.
I do think that voat mods should take a very passive approach and let the community decide for themselves. Despite our disagreements we have to learn from each other. That's why I'm here.
First of all, I believe in voat as a platform. Corporate media has destroyed reddit and turned it into an extension of Cable News / Associated Press mind control. If we're going to avoid mass enslavement by a global elite of psychopaths, we need to trust each other, and communicate directly, bypassing the traditional gatekeepers of knowledge. I see mods as a necessary evil that should take a passive approach, especially on voat. I want to contribute as a mod to help grow this place, and encourage everyone to have an open mind.
I want to contribute as a mod to help grow this place
Can you elaborate a bit? There are couple points raised here: Why is contributing "as a mod" special? What do you mean by "grow this place" and how would you as mod have anything to do with that?
From my perspective: I am a [J] in v/politics. I did not want to be a J. I didn't volunteer to "grow" the sub. I volunteered because I did not want the job.

Why do you want to mod this subverse?

Damn, edited out of OP? You actually seem pretty reasonable. (Frankly, your cautious evasion seems pretty reasonable, too.)

Yep that was a mistake, considering I'm actually active and passionate about destroying the mainstream narratives in the corporate media.

Wellllllll... If you think about it: This is mainly happening because the head mod totally sucks.
