For clarification, they are:
Rule 1: No Spam or Memes
Rule 2: No overt attacks on people's race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or creed
/v/conspiracy moderators have an extremely hands off approach to moderation here. Occasionally, some comments get lots of reports, but we almost always ignore them.
About a month ago, I deleted a comment that had been reported multiple times that was in violation of rule 2.
Granted, I recognize that Voat's entire raison d'etre is for free speech, but it's becoming increasingly clear that TPTB are trying to equate conspiracy theorists with unapologetic racism, and that's completely unacceptable.
However, this brings us into the dangerous realm of subjectivity, and could potentially conflict with Voat's commitment to freedom of expression.
What do the actual users of /v/conspiracy think? The Voat concern trolls have made their position abundantly clear, but ultimately this decision should be made by the legitimate users here.
If the community wants to remove (or keep) either (or both) rules, please make your voice heard now.
Much love.

I dont really post here, so ignore me if you want but,
define attack. If I state that I believe kikes run the world and have an agenda to genocide the white race, is that an attack? or did I only use a bad word. If I call kevdude a nigger, is that an attack? He wont care, so why should anyone else?
Youre also going to need a way to define actual users. Many people only lurk, are they not users? If not then youll need to define a v/conspiracy ccp limit for an opinion to count.
and to be clear, I really dont care what you do in here, and I think the last 24 hrs have been some bullshit butt hurt trolls. You seem to have rules which you thought were broken, so I dont see what the stink is about.

Serious question. I'm not the language police, but can you not post conspiracies without using derogatory language? It's off putting to serious researchers. I mean imagine watching X-Files with them just screaming nigger faggot the whole time. OK that actually would be a funny episode, but not the entire season.
I like that you admit you're not a user here and these other dudes are trolls.
The real deal is that there's a group of people who brigade subs. They think by doing this they can shut down this sub. They create drama where no drama exists. They spam BS that has nothing to do with this sub. This aggravates the users here and makes then not want to frequent this sub. It's an old forum spy tactic that groups use to break up and takeover subs and forums. They aren't users here. Most likely they are liberals who joined Antifa and post cats on Reddit.

As far as the language goes. Certainly, we all can. But we have always been free speech in the extreme. Including profanity and epithets. I understand if it bothers your community for whatever reason. Youre just in a forum which largely feels different. We use that language all day every day and few have a problem w it, and those that do just deal w it. Ill go back to my example of the JQ. Most here have no problem w using Kike in that instance. They are viewed as dnagerous up to genociding us, so we dont feel the need to hold back in our language. Motherfuckers are trying to kill me, Ill call him a kike. And much worse.
What actually happend was axolotl pissed off regular Voat users by deleting stuff w/o consistency, and then calling it his sub. Voat has been very anti powermod for a long time. Its not unique to this situation. v/canada faced the same thing awhile back, and still sort of boils under the surface. Other subs and users have as well.
If every instance of profanity had been deleted under a clear rule this probably wouldnt have happened. FPH is an example, they have rules they apply every time, no exceptions.
And subs are generally viewed as being owned by the users. Calling it his sub was a large mistake(and subReddit no less) Although this is a non system sub which have their own rules (but a large 'name brand' sub, which is a subject unto itself). So if rules are clearly laid out and consistently applied theres much less drama.
And you are now on the radar of the voat trolls.
As far as someone wanting to take your sub, maybe. I rather doubt it, but its possible. I think youre just being trolled hard. Ive been here for much longer than this acct shows, and I wander the whole site. I have a large overview of Voat as a whole. This just looks like troll drama that will blow over. Set clear rules and enforce them, and this will go away(it will take time, the voat trolls are dedicated shitposters). Although axolotl will probably be harassed forever now. Hes now considered a Reddit power mod, and that is very frowned upon.
The one thing I will say is that I disagree w kevdude on one thing. He keeps saying that because axolotl didnt create this sub, but got it thru transfer that somehow he's less of an Owner, and is restricted in his rule setting. This isnt to my knowledge any kind of rule here. He owns this sub. And it is a private sub, you can set whatever rules you wish as a community. But that needs to be emphasized. This is still a sub for the community. You should have a say in how it is run. That IS a goat philosophy. But unless someone can show me a rule (maybe i missed something or just dont remember it) or a post by Putt or Atko stating otherwise, Axolotl is Owner, and can technically do wtf ever he wants here. He'll be asking for heaps of trouble if he tries to exercise that power over your communities wishes, but he can do so. He can delete the sub, or turn it into a parody if he wants.

Well I think they blew it all out of proportion and are going about it the wrong way.
I agree. You have to draw the line somewhere. These spammers can't dictate what every sub can or can't do in their subs. That's ridiculous.
You know they would ban people in their subs if they started talking good about Jews. Try posting: "Jews are cool..." oops now I'm banned. oops now I'm labeled (((me))). That's how you know they don't care about free speech at all. They just want to takeover and kill subs that don't spread their message. They would brigade the fuck out of me if I did that... I'm sure I'm on their list already.

Only if pro-judeism is stated as against their rules. You may not like what is happening, but you can state exactly that wo a ban. If there is not a rule they cant and wont ban you from a sub for saying that. Youll likely catch downvoats for it, but you cant be banned unless it is against that subs rules.
