What is wrong with a one world government?

CowboyXero ago

In itself, nothing as long as the power belongs to the people being "governed" and is representative in nature with power separated and restricted amongst it's branches.

...if you're talking about power from the top down then you might want to actually study history to see just how badly it turns out for some who saw themselves as absolute rulers of the world, known or otherwise.

One of the things that pressures countries to respect human rights and allows accountability is the competition between them. They need to morally posture to gain support and often point out each others flaws similar to how competition between business groups helps consumers and competition between interest groups means popular support needs to be gained.

A one world government could essentially treat it's citizens however it wished and remain unchallenged. Ad technology advances it could even possibly mean a dictatorship disguised as a democracy that would be able to in practice be invincible.

Not to mention it wouldn't have the values of any particular nation, so the American rights of free speech, right to bear arms, don't think the European contingent would want that. There would likely be free movement of labor so if you think an influx of refugees is bad now, imagine when they wouldn't even need a passport.

It means your goods and services will be price fixed , for one. And any legal remedy for your business must go through a world court, not the state you live in. How does that sound to you for starters?

You ask a fair question. Short answer: Absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's one of the few cliches I've never seen an exception to.

What's wrong with a hammer when it's in the hand of a murderer?

nothing if it's an actual democracy, which it won't be

How we get to that point. It takes genocide, depopulation, brainwashing, propoganda... Basically all the bad things. And it only benefits the elites. It is a system built by the corporation's for the corporation's. Not by the people for the people.

Greed ruins everything.

Essentially we are not mature, empathetic, or rational enough as a species for it to ever work the way it ought to. If it could be established for the good of humanity in general it would be utopia. But in our current state that will never, ever, happen.

it only benefits the elites oligarchs

elites are the chess pieces, oligarchs play chess.

functional difference: rockefeller vs soros.

Not even corporations. It's based on the wants of the global elite. It's much more specific than simply wanting to maximize corporate profits. It's about the social power of a specific class.

oligarchs own the elite.

many different oligarchs. persian, eurasian, western, zionist...
