This. I rephrase a statement I might make as a sort of "leading" question.
For example: On the subject of the holo-hoax, instead of flat out saying "There is no way the Germans gassed all of those people", you'd instead say "How did they manage to gas people with wooden doors on the chambers? That gas is dangerous and seeps through wood."
Asking the question implies that you do not know, or are unsure of the answer. This means it can't be construed as a statement which you believe.
Mostly this. I think there are times to pick your battles as well. Not every situation in one's life has to devolve into a politically charged argument. I've had this conversation with family before. There are occasions where it is appropriate to hold your tongue. That's life. There is a fine line between being a straight shooter and just a straight asshole.
It's called having tact.
That said, there are moments we've all been in that we've held our tongues and it would have been better if we'd spoken our truth. That's a different story. If you're in a spot where someone's view of you could stand to change, but it's better if it does change, then speak your truth. And always, there are ways to say hard things articulately and tactfully.
There are internet warriors, though, who think everything spoken here on Voat is true, and you're a pussy if you aren't telling everyone here how you always speak your mind in ALL scenarios to EVERYONE. No you don't.
Right. Dont lie. No you fucking dont or you would be on the news. Any of us could easily make local news with unfildered voat statments presented in real life. I can just walk up to jews and call them moishe and tell them to fuck off to israel.
It’s all about phrasing. I suggest things and let people arrive at the answer themselves. It helps them reflect on the situations and they aren’t turned off when it is their idea.

Being tactful and not sperging on everything is key but airing your feelings is a great way to keep stupid people out of your life.

I've had to do this several times.

Agreed, at work you have to. I tend to put it the way the individual person needs to hear it.

Agreed. I've phrased some pretty inflammatory ideas in different ways and I just don't think liberals are that smart
