Dunno, but you can browse by (your) front page, v/all, or default. I've never blocked a sub, but know that at least v/all won't show your blocked subs, and default shows the default subs by default. That means default overrides blocking. Either front or /all is the place for not seeing your blocked subs.

When I snapped at lisasciencequeen and was informed it was a sbbh alt as if I should not disturb that account is when I caught on to the game.
It's a few users we've seen on the front page often and they're having fun triggering the masses. It started as a counter to gore posts in /v/aww and then became a trolling mission to trigger people. I know partially who's behind it and I'm not surprised by the behavior, unfortunately people just keep feeding the trolls.
It's easily blocked unless you insist on only looking at default subs which is just about the worst way to browse Voat so I don't make a fuss about it, it's ridiculous for people to be freaking out when they can just ignore it until trolls get bored.
Although recently I did notice 'odd' upvoat totals in back to back posts by certain accounts created at the beginning of this new chapter in Voats Big Book of Manufactured Drama. Hence why I'm not 100% sure if this drama hasn't been hijacked by other actors to pursue other ends besides mere trolling.

That's exactly my argument, there needs to be a rule against spamming posts or something like that. There's nothing wrong with v/aww in itself, and it would be really dumb to ban a subverse for it. Personally I think the best option is to just have all users downvoat the content and report the users who are spamming it.
Finally, blocking does nothing but ignore the issue, it's still going to be present for everyone else and would especially be a problem for new users and people without accounts. You don't get new users by having your front page covered with spam. And remember, ususally only 10 percent of the veiwerbase of a website makes accounts. That could be larger for voat, but the percent of people who just lurk is huge.

It's a default sub, so it appears in Default. Browse by Front, and you won't see. Simply spend 5 minutes going through v/default and clicking subscribe to those you want to see in your front page.
Then, you can browse v/all for free.
I know it requires 5 minutes instead of 5 seconds, so it's like totally unfair, but it really is only 5 minutes.
