This has been a great first day for the sub overall.
We started the sub, trolled each other a bit, discussed moderation philosophy and rules, cracked some jokes, started a few good threads, and users have started submitting relevant content.
Every time I take a look at what's going on I see a lot of new posts and comments, and voats are knocking quality content to the top.
You goats rock!

I considered it and decided against it yesterday.

As long as every one avoids the elephant in the room. Pretend Pedophilia and worse is not part of the "Old World" ritual.
Or just attack anyone stupid enough to mention the reality of a coordinated revised history.
Besides, revised history is obviously impossible because the Jewish printing presses around the Witch trials told me so. I trust the Jews to record history with honesty and the highest regards for Gentiles and Salves alike.

The community is a lot more tolerant then it wants to be given credit for. From what I've seen, the community is largely skeptical, rational, questioning, but ultimately open minded. Most of the crap is just a smoke screen. Once you filter out a few choice subs from /all you can find the real community.
I've always had a problem with that.
That's the only real way to do it. Communities must be allowed to grow and evolve over time. Once mods start trying to dictate what a community must be then it's essentially done. It's just a question of how long it will circle the drain.
Any moderation is ultimately a form of censorship, but it's one of those necessary evils that we have to live with like any form of governance. I'm just winging it, but life experience has taught me a couple of tricks. It's an art. Rules are only guidelines for the community, not set in stone. Wise leaders only really punish someone when they demand it.
