Much of the testimony and confessions of guilt by Nazi officials at Nurenburg were given under duress and as a result of continued beatings and threats to their lives and the lives of their families. They were tortured, drugged, deprived of sleep, and beaten, especially by being kicked repeatedly in the testicles, almost always by Jewish interrogators, who wanted them to confess to crimes they never committed, sign confessions in English, which most of them did not speak, and admit to the absolute factuality of forged documents. Many of the things they confessed to were events that never happened.
