Counter point: Poal has 2 distinct benefits: 1) a significantly more polite user base and 2) a fantastic cultural moray whereby people don't use the downvoat button as a proxy for disagreement or "I don't like that user".
Unfortunately it just isn't as content dense, and 1/5th of the content is day late reposts from Voat. But yeah, I'd like to see some of their civility rub off here (not holding my breath).
No matter what, I don't understand the hate. Poal is really only 1 or 2 degrees different from Voat anyway. I don't see the utility in shit-talking a site that should be seen as an ally with a different flavor.

That's basically the opposite of free speech since they brand or ban dissenters, 2. People vote as they see fit and if it was an election, wouldn't that be considered interference? Then there's public knowledge of who downvotes, you really think that isn't designed to intimidate people from downvoting their content? How is that free speech?

So you're a snowflake, got it.

You're not understanding much of anything. Poal is not 1 or 2 degrees different, it's almost the exact opposite. Here, Putt will own up to his mistakes and short comings, and reverse what he did to piss off the masses. Over there they just pressure you to leave for calling them out, if not outright ban. Then you wonder why there's no content. It is the epitome of hypocrisy, they left here because Putt banned a bunch of old respected Goats; then turn around and pull the same bullshit over there, minus any apologies.

I don't engage enough to keep up with who they ban or why, so what you say might be true, but I've had numerous disagreements with their admin without any threat of banning. First post I was greeted by one of them. I'm actually a huge fan of the idea of public downvotes. Downvotes here are so confusing sometimes, and, from my perspective, misused. I've been downvoated, and seen downvoats for 1) Requests for sources, 2) thanking someone 3) well thought out posts which disagree with hive-mind 4) providing sources. I think if you could see who is downvoating you, it would give some important knowledge. Probably 4/5ths of anyone's given downvoates are by 4-5 people who smash that button 200 times per day. Loud curmudgeons could be more easily identified. Looking at your downvoat ratio, it seems to be one of your favorite things. Nearly every thread with you and someone disagreeing with you, all their posts have one downvoat. hmmm, wonder who that could be?
So you're a snowflake, got it.
Nope, not a very good response. I wonder why you feel compelled to insult nearly everyone you interact with? Being polite is one of the best parts of White Culture.

It seems that most people disagree with you. This sort of black and White thinking here is far too common. The gatekeeping is real and reminds me of the lefty radicalism that's cropped up in the last 15 years: "Agree with me 100% or your a heretic". Divide and conquer.
I'm glad you're able to type anything you want there, but you might consider what are your goals? Getting past the senseless insults, you sometimes have good ideas. This was a mostly thoughtful reply.
