Well, I am old enough to know the Constitution is equivalent to a piece of toilet paper. Your rights do not come from a piece of toilet paper. Nor do they come from some God or Nature. It comes sort of from metal, and more importantly, a societal (socialism?!?) belief.
The 2nd Amendment means shit. What protects your ass, my ass, and your neighbor's ass is that we all agree that the stupid 2nd Amendment means something. By itself (the 2nd), and by yourself (your belief in it), means absolutely nothing without your neighbors.
