From that wikipedia link, it has 2 arguments against the "theory", the first:
Criminal profiler Pat Brown calls the serial killer theory "ludicrous", arguing that the evidence does not fit what is known about serial killers
This would definitely fit into a new category of crime. It's obviously not the typical serial killer, since it involves numerous groups of people. So it's not really an argument.
The second thing they do is they question the motives of the detectives.
However, if you read OP's article they discuss numerous reasons they think these men were murdered. It's pretty strong compared to the evidence cited against it.
Given the people and the agenda of the (((MSM))) expect the debunking efforts to grow if more evidence emerges.

This is a pretty old story and as far as I recall it's been pretty much debunked. Still interesting nonetheless.
