Every welder I know has weird diseases from sniffing fumes, bodies wracked by standing in bad positions for long periods of time.... and overworked to the point of being a cripple in need of hospital visits.
If you're any good at it and somewhat intelligent you can move up to a welding inspector within 5 years, which there is also a tremendous shortage of.
The guys that stretch properly and wear their PPE don't get fucked up like that in my experience. Gotta take care of your physical health and see the chiropractor regularly. I know plenty of desk jockeys that have cardiac issues in their 40s despite no labor at all

Our company has air filtration masks rollers 25 ton cranes etc. Its the old guys not willing to adapt or utilize what thier company provides. Health and safety in the trades is huge now due to insurance. Workers can sue the fuck out a company without proper regulations. Also workers following safety policy and demanding those better conditions. A person doesnt have to compromise. Give me more semantics
