I disagree with your sentiment, but i do not believe that you don't have a right to express it. Downvoting is like saying someones opinion shouldn't be heard. It is quite different than just not liking what they have to say.
Just my opinion. It used to be the opinion of this site as a whole. It is disappointing to see the reddit seeping in to this site.
Acknowledged. Seeking out things to downvoat in a strategic manner is shady. Permissible, but shady.
The only counter-balance for such behavior in a truly free and uncensored forum is to post your disdain for said practice and maybe reciprocate the strategic downvoating of the offender’s posts. Avoid collateral damage to innocent bystanders.

Yep it is. People that lurk on new and down ote what they don't like embrace censorship and are against voats principles. This applies to both sides
