Yep. It's mostly placebo/pseudo-science bullshit. It is possible to be iodine deficient, and that would have detrimental effects. But it's pretty rare. Most salt is iodized, despite what this leads you to believe. And if people buy seasalt, it's because of the taste, not some "conspiracy" (that point kinda ruins the credibility of the post)

The barely noticeable amount of iodine that is in table salt, from what I have read, evaporates over time and leaves the salt.... well, non-iodized. I also have used the supplement in my cold coffee (hides the taste). I am happy with the results. I also have hypothyroidism.

That's very neat. I didn't know that, about iodine evaporation. I mean it makes sense because it's a halogen. Apparently, if you don't keep your salt in sealed container, and you live in a high humidity area, virtually all of the iodine can be evaporated away in about one year.
