They came over around five months ago when r/pizzagate was banned on reddit and r/the_donald users thought they might be next. They made accounts and then got bored here and went back to reddit. This was also around the same time mods on r/the_donald advised users that reddit admins were secretly deleting and editing their comments.

That may be part of it but it definitely seems like many of these accounts are the same person.
