i don't care.

those that fail to see through the messenger, do not deserve the message.

jsac ago

hey dickbreath.. if you "dont care" why did you submit this post? hahha. inbred retard....

SaneGoatiSwear ago

you see that big link in the post?

check the archives of my profile (apparently a few days ago someone decided to start taking archives of my profile every few hours?)

so feb9 to feb 10 you see my amount of comments posted stop at 13052 and never go up again.

so around that time, my profile was frozen, and whatever else was done was done.

I've noticed this. They are most likely using a nosql cluster. At any rate the data needs to be replicated to all the nosql nodes in the cluster and sometimes that can take quite a while. Also during certain operations especially when nodes turn off, spin up/spin down, fail, or get removed from the cluster the most current data can fail to replicate to the other nodes and get over written by stale data. Comment/upvoat count would be one of those things is likely to become out of sync every now and then or get miscalculated with stale data in a nosql solution due to the type of query it is and the most likely pattern for how the aggregate root would be structured for a forum application.

... therefore proving voat servers are run on windows, which cost extra money. HEY all u voat-donaters out there, how u feel about paying the mickrosoft extra money huh?

Sane, google the price for a G4 azure instance. I think you might like it :)

The_Duke_of_Dabs ago

This guy----^ just gave him an upvoat and its at 0.

SaneGoatiSwear ago

4 minute cache refresh on votes it seems.

sometimes longer...? 10 minutes? someone control study.

SaneGoatiSwear ago

noticed this where. please provide evidence.

otherwise i'm not inclined to believe a fucking thing you say.

but i'm upvoating you to test if you see it in the FOUR MINUTES IT TAKES THE CACHE to refresh.

I've noticed it with my own CCP score. I was at 575 and just got two up voats that havent registered yet. Every now and then ive seen one or two never get counted to my total ccp score. Even more interesting when you click ccp and see all of your comments those counts will be different than on the thread or vice versa for some time and may or may not make it to your ccp score. Ive seen delay for multiple days as well. It really depends on how much traffic voat is getting hit with and how many users are using the site. The more users on and posting the more nosql nodes you need in the cluster and the more chance for things becoming out of sync along with taking longer to sync data to a congruent state across all nodes. This is an example of the old adage of computer science, " There are only two hard problems in computer science, naming things and cache invalidation." the described behavior being a consequence of the latter.

SaneGoatiSwear ago

yeah so hundreds of comments don't show, not a single post shows in the count, not a single vote out of hundreds

ALLL perfectly don't show a change

for

five

days

this is not what you're talking about.

I will admit your numbers do look sort of weird unless you are specifically trying to balance them.

This user has so far shared a total of 148 links, started a total of 651 discussions and submitted a total of 13052 comments.

Submissions: This user has upvoted 6666 and downvoted 9999 submissions. Comments: This user has upvoted 9999 and downvoted 8888 comments.

But it also looks like something a bug could generate. Which is what i would assume first before manipulation. You are sort of in the upper echelon of posters with that many comments and submissions.

SaneGoatiSwear ago

NO I VOTED TO THOSE NUMBERS. ANYONE WHO REALLY VOATS KNOWS THIS.

I VOTED TO THOSE NUMBERS MONTHS AGO AND STOPPED VOTING

YOU ARE NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT THE ISSUE

MISDIRECTION SHILL DETECTED

SelfReferenceParadox ago

MAYBE TALKING ABOUT NUMBERS IS HIS TRIGGER

Tipman79 ago

Not seeing an SRS conspiracy behind every single comment is his trigger.

SelfReferenceParadox ago

He seems to have a lot of triggers.

SaneGoatiSwear ago

@puttitout what did you do adolf

The_Duke_of_Dabs ago

I can still see your posts. Servers are probably slow from the new update.

SaneGoatiSwear ago
