Started reading 1984 and I feel like I've been gaslighted my entire life. What is something you remember reading on the internet 15-20 years ago but can't find or find little trace of today? (whatever)

I remember study after study showing homosexuals were usually victims of molestation or severe drug use, can't find much now outside of 'they were born that way' now

I also use to remember being able to find accurate crime statistics for black communities. So obvious it was in the music they produced. Hard to find statistics that don't get blamed on racism or another thing.
