Wait - do you really think that you need permission from every single business to make a shirt that is related to their business?
I mean I can't tell if you're serious or not. Because it's not illegal. Far from it. Voat's 'trademarked images' are on the public domain, making them available for free use on clothing. I mean I can literally look up the law and show you how it works because if you think that every single coca-cola shirt on the web has to ask permission from Coca-Cola to print a shirt then you've misunderstood the clothing business completely.
And lastly, do you remember how this logo came to fruition, Cynabuns? If you don't, it was designed by a Voater and donated to the site. All I'm trying to do is help Voat because the admins basically begged the userbase for money 2 days ago and you're coming off like a complete asshole to me without actually having a conversation. And p.s., I've been on Voat for 1.6 years - I'm not going to post a link to a shop that reveals what city I live in on my main profile. Of course I'm going to make a new profile for that. I'm not going to open myself up for doxxing that easily, cyna.
So if you would care to respond or like more information, I am more than happy to provide it. However, this is NOT ad spam - and if you would have been willing to ask me a question or two before making assumptions of my character or intent I feel like this could have been avoided.
Edit: I completely forgot to mention this detail - however, you know the merchandise that Voat was supposed to have 6 months ago? Check the store. Go ahead, check it. Tell me what merchandise their is there. It took me 10 minutes to whip up 3 designs for a shirt and it's been that long and there is still no merchandise for Voat. And you're urging people to buy merchandise in house that is non-existent.
Also, I'll link you this page that shows you the current status of Voat being trademarked if you're interested. If you don't want to click and are still wondering what it is - it's not trademarked currently due to "602 - Abandoned-Failure To Respond Or Late Response". So despite what the bottom of the site says right now, Voat's logo still hasn't been trademarked and it's been almost 2 years since it stopped being whoaverse.
So - you don't want me to prove that this isn't spam, and that you don't need business owners permission to make designs that reference them, and would rather avoid the subject or a discussion entirely and remove the post?
I know that posting any story about this on another subverse is not going to gain any traction because other voaters aren't going to care enough - but seriously?
And did you not read the announcement? That specifically said that while advertising and donations are nice here, that just those means are not going to keep Voat up? And now you have the audacity to just send me a link to the ad page as if I haven't considered that option already? Come on cyna this is a bit much
If you are selling something within a post, you are unwelcomed advertising spam; that I gave you time to remove your post was an act of generosity due to your motives.

Hello 2.6 hour old account @loangoat -
Would you be so kind as to show us the permission you received from the site owners to use their trademarked images?
You can't??
That's what I thought.
Your post constitutes AD SPAM - remove it or as Janitor, I will.
edit to add: Voaters: let's keep it in-house... only buy and donate thru the Voat-approved site: store.voat.co

Member for 1.3 days wants to "sell merchandise for voat" - if that's not an obvious scam, I don't know what is.

To build on this. Their call for donations makes reference to merch coming soon.
" buy ads and merchandise (to be announced soon)"
