On both firefox and palemoon, I cleared the cookies. But it is still the same result. @FuzzyWords, @PeaceSeeker, can you also retest this issue by clearing out all the cookies?
Yes, I was using preview.voat.co, but I also checked on lin.preview.voat.co with the same result. The test accounts are newly created, nothing carried over from phase1. The user registration does work, this is confirmed by logging in with a wrong password where the "Invalid login attempt" is displayed as intended. With the correct password, it just directs you to "http://preview.voat.co/Home/Welcome" page.
:-) Would you believe me if I say "YES I did?" I have also pinged it to two users, regarding the retest with the cookies cleared, since it happens on different browsers. Let's see the results from them.
I was rather sure that when I registered my accounts I was automatically logged in. I made another account just now to confirm, and sure enough I was automatically logged in. I'm using Pale Moon.
Also, saying that you've had difficulty logging in at all makes me think that this is related to the issues Fuzzy was having, yet you say Pale Moon is giving you trouble when it has given neither her nor me any trouble. Very interesting...BUG
Nope, I am also on Pale Moon, and still cannot log in. Attempting to log in gets directed to the account registration page in night mode. How strange... I will try it on all major browsers as you did and see what happens.

This should be fixed now. I think it had to do with overlapping cookies upon launch.

Could you also test with the browsers in private browsing mode? Oddly, I was also able to sign in under private browsing mode. Thanks!
MadWorld ago
Confirmed! Good find!! LOLz... It's weird.
Edit: just for clarification, it's setting the browser into private browsing mode.

This is a very important issue but I think it has to do with some auth settings I had to correct when launching this site.
While I was making changes I think some bad cookies were sent. Please clear all cookies and try again.
Let's just make sure this isn't a cookie issue before we dive further.

And you are using preview.voat.co and NOT lin.preview.voat.co?
Also, just to clarify, this is a new empty Db so you aren't trying to use an account from the previous preview site, correct?
Edit: I suppose the last part isn't relevant. But can you sign in after registering?

Hmmm... We need to keep at this one. Very odd.
I can't reproduce though. So... I'm going to need you to reformat your hard drive, install clean OS, and try again. /s

Haha.. Yep, how strange...

Could it be that you canot log in to the new preview voat while still logged in with regular voat? @PeaceSeeker what say you?
MadWorld ago
No, the preview subdomain is separated from main voat domain. Plus, we tested it on different browsers.
MadWorld ago
Opera, Chrome, and Safari work with login, but not Palemoon or Firefox. That's weird, it doesn't show any major error on the web console.

Very strange it works on your Pale Moon, but not mine. And yet it works in Opera, Chrome, and Safari.

It works in Opera and Chrome for you?? Those are browsers that gave Fuzzy trouble.
Man...
MadWorld ago
Yeah, very strange bug.
