This issue is apparent by clicking on most any sub, including this one /v/voatdev
Looking at the posts in default/hot ordering from /v/voatdev:
- #2 is a 14 day (1 fortnight) old post with +5
- #4 is a 6 day old post with +6
- #5 is a month old post with +4
- #13 is a 1 day old post with +16
- #20 is a 3 day old post with +11
- #51 (top of page 3) is a 4 day old post with +196 !!
So forth and so on. The posts are in a completely random order that's probably inhibiting discussion. This bug is showing up everywhere. At a glance in /v/technology there's a 5 day old post with +3 sitting ahead of a 16 hour post with +19.

I could understand a bit of mismatching due to synchronization issues like you seem to be describing, but I've never seen anything this broken. A 4 day old post with 196 votes should have been pushed above the month old post with +4 dozens of times.
For that matter, disorder seems to be the rule more than the exception. The ordering makes no sense whatsoever.

It's a fault in the decay logic. If a post gets ranked highly but then falls in ranking it can potential miss decay passes and retain is high ranking.
Known issue with low volume subverses and we will work this out in the future for sure.
