I remember PC scare tactics commercials. I owe my first PC to them.
I always wanted a c64 those were pretty awesome back in the day. I'd buy a modern commodore if someone would release one that was competitive to Intel/Nvidia/Microsoft.
They all used this tactic to one degree or another, but it is still fun to watch some of these old ADs and then realize that the technology that we use every day has come a long way. TRS-80

My very first pc was a commodore64. It and it's huge floppydisks still have a place in my heart.
