There is no way to advance your membership status in the forum you are directing people to...
I joined after Q's post on 8chan to be part of this historic movement at it's infancy on voat and of course to take part in the discussions.
After setting up my profile and reading the FAQ as well as a bunch of posts, I realized there is no way to advance your membership using the QRV forum since upvotes don't apply there.
I seriously question the decision to send tens of thousands of people to a board that has zero chance of advancing their membership status, you won't be retaining but a very small fraction of those users once they figure that out. Very, very few people coming here give a rats ass about any other forum on this board and will never even look at any others, much less post on them. That includes myself.
Some of us are tech savvy and can get up to speed quickly and some are coming from reddit and the chans but by far the majority are much less experienced. Many of those people are willing to read and learn how to participate just so they can be involved instead of just lurking but when they find that the QRV forum offers no chance of membership advancement, they won't be back. That includes myself also.
I am not going to follow two forums that have identical content when the one with the lions share of the discussion (the one you are directing people to) is set up in such a way that precludes membership advancement. Good luck but I'm out, my time is too valuable to waste on something with no definitive way to measure merit.
