Well, it depends on what you're after. For books, bit torrent sucks. Use Library Genesis, Bookfi, or #bookz
For movies, use a private tracker, unless it's really obscure, then use a private tracker specializing in that genre. Try rarelust or women in prison for direct downloads of b movies. TPB is last resort
For TV, private tracker. TPB is last resort
For games, private tracker, unless it's particularly old, in which case try direct download sites, or a GOG megapack. All the private trackers I know of which specialized in retro shit have shut down over the years. RIP retrogamer and retrowithin.
