I'd like /v/showerthoughts to be a system sub, but which I'm the still the mod of. It seems that system-onwed subs have more protection against mod overreach, as the admins intervened and removed @She from /v/AskVoat, which protected the health of the subverse and of Voat.
Though I don't plan on becoming a powermod and requiring the admins to intervene to stop me, should I forget to participate in /v/showerthoughts for a month, it's possible that someone could request it and harm the subverse. I'd like for it to be protected against mod abuse, so if I'm accurate in my belief that system subs have more admin oversight, please add system to /v/showerthoughts.

Subverse v/Showerthoughts has been transferred to @system. Good luck!

I understand now. I initially misunderstood the intent of this statement:

I like how all the comments to this reasonable request are shills.

I think this is a good idea in theory, but I worry about more and more subs allowing top level admin control.

Especially if it really does make a mod immune to subverserequest in case of inactivity.

how about we just ban it and post in /v/haveawank where most of the content belongs?

Nah cause then we have to ban /v/politics and /v/funny and /v/pics. This place really is just Reddit with mod logs. Every ounce of circlejerk and echo chamber is here in full force.
