The only thing else I would have recommended, if at all possible, would have been concealed carry so as not to lead to shit-stirrers trying to provoke a conflict. And preferably coming with more people.
If at all possible, don't go to or attend these events, unless they're IN your neighborhood or town. We don't need to feed them.
But DO wear your trump hat if you own one, because many americans are afraid of physical violence for their political opinions and it is important to show the people around you that they're not alone and that socialist violence against people for what they believe is never acceptable. You get punched in the face, you punch back, or stop the attack, nothing more (thats prosecutable) and nothing less (thats backing down and encouraging the misbehavior). This happens a few times, it encourages our side, and makes them feel like they are winning or helps them realize that they can win, if they're just willing to be who they are rather than taking it from the left and hiding who and what they believe.
Likewise with mask mandates and everything else.

So that any attempt to "correct" or walk it back, isn't merely "too little too late" but betrays a general design NOT to restore the peace after overreaching and abusing the citizenry, but simply to prevent any pushback or outcry, so the state and its bureaucrats can preserve the arbitrary will and power to do the same thing again in the future.
Any right thinking man must be forced to conclude that all these people must fucking go. That the "redress of grievances" that the state will try to implement for its "mistakes and partisan deadlock" (intention), will not make this go away, that the question arises "whats to stop them from balking like they always do and doing this again?"
And that is the point I think that the American Public is getting to and waking up to.
Changing the laws and people in office who abused them, aren't going to be enough.
Institutions that were previously abused systematically (asset forfeiture policies, the fbi used as political police, regulators somehow failing to REGULATE the fucking banks robbing the country, government involved in political suppressions of one side or the other, the cia functioning as for-hire service hostile to its own nation, writing and airing propaganda that destabilizes the political process and undermines the u.s.), are going to have to be abolished for there to be peace and stability in the long term.
People are not going to accept the same lukewarm half-assed solutions that have been offered before. Theres not going to be any quelling the american public with "we're gonna institute sweeping changes! -> institutes changes -> same people in power as before or even new people -> policies and actions only change superficially in the long term."
