Police are outnumbered by citizens by about 100/1

Sure half of that 100, 50 are either too old, to young or too feeble.

Another 25 of the remaining 50 are fat and dumb.

That still leaves 25 dudes like me for every pig.

Math does not favour the communist pig.

Those Police have families and they are in the same boat. they go to work and leave their families unprotected. easier to be on the protesters side at this point.

They shoot criminals so I don't have to. Granted, only a fraction as much as they should, but few systems are perfect.

A certain degree of specialization keeps us from living in crude huts and crafting our own clothes and shoes. If that's a 1, and our current society is a 10, we would probably all be much better off 'spiritually', and enjoy more 'human fulfillment', in the 4-6 range.
