It's not unusual for a business to run at a loss with the intention of growth. The company had $2.22 billion in revenue in 2015 alone...they just spend more than they make. All earnings reports include adjusted esrnings and investors and analysts tend to look at multiple numbers. Twitter's problem as the article states is their user growth, partially due to bias and the black rimmed, fedora wearing SJWs that seem to dominate the platform yet suck so bad they provide little revenue.
