This is the third Hanks film where we find Corona references.
So, Tom Hanks first referenced Corona in a 2011 tweet. And in 2016 he posted an image of a Corona-Smith typewriter. https://twitter.com/search?q=corona%20(from%3Atomhanks)&src=typed_query
Of course his most recent tweet also has an image of a Corona typewriter: https://twitter.com/tomhanks/status/1240024515498786816
Well, apparently Corona typewriters featured in the film that he did with Steven Spielberg directing "The Post". Luckily for us that was pointed out in this article: Q&A: Tom Hanks on Seattle, his love of typewriters, and the free press
It should be no surprise that when it comes to interviews, Tom Hanks prefers to type. His new book, “Uncommon Type: Stories,” which will bring him to McCaw Hall on Dec. 6, is a collection of stories in which a typewriter makes a cameo in every one...
Hanks, who owns more than 100 typewriters, will portray career typist Ben Bradlee, the late, great editor of The Washington Post in the upcoming film “The Post,” co-starring with Meryl Streep... Hanks preferred that we ask a few questions via email. He wrote right back, talking a little about his collection of stories, his collection of typewriters and his gifting of a brand-new coffee maker to The White House press corps.
..My favorite [typewriter] is always changing. Any Smith-Corona Sterling or Silent is a gem. Any Hermes, either the green or tan, all work like lightning. I have a thing for my Olivetti Lettera 22’s, as they are masterpieces of design, the action is crazy fast and light, and the typewriter is in the Museum of Modern Art.

Project X
Back in the ’70s, an attempt was made to explain away the Pentagon Papers with a ridiculous spin. Supposedly, the survey was commissioned to serve as an academic record — something to be read in the future, after the fact, with the perfect vision of hindsight allowing to provide a better historical perspective on the matter.
Hmmm...

Tom Hanks stood in front of his typewriter collection when he made a video endorsing President Barack Obama in 2008. https://imgur.com/a/KBiP16S
