Does anyone know details? Is our power being turned off too or something? How will this affect the average person?

I am not getting any answers either. Not very good at the Electronics or Electrical stuff. Hoping someone lets us know, will our refrigerators go off' and our heating or cooling or just lights and phones? Also if street lights go out it will be extremely dangerous outside after dark. Time change will cause it to be darker earlier. Very frightening for people that have children and also we will worry about extending family. We should try to find out what we can and plan. If we cannot warn the masses then we should at least warn and help our Voat Family.

License to carry or carry anyway without one is the answer for next weekend. Aside from that, who is truly prepared for a sustained blackout? Less than 10% of our population I would estimate. The strong and level-headed will survive a black-out regardless of their level of "readiness."

I will have candles and plenty of tuna and crackers and apples and corn chips and sparkling water. I will make hard boiled eggs ahead of time and keep the doors bolted. I do not even have to open the door for mail. I have plenty of canned beans will make plenty of rice days before. Ah yes, the phone backup. Do I need anything else? If this is a bust and does not happen we will have food for the whole weekend. What else do I need to do. Can you tell me.
