Guidance for how to use the template

You can edit, rearrange and remove any topics as you wish!

There are only two required parts: Describing your idea of collaboration, and at least one source link to a related pizzagate submission.

Sourcing

When using only one or few sources, you can add them into your description and remove this whole topic. But especially when using several sources, a table format is a nice way to present them to your readers.

The table format:

  • 1st line for column topics (the first row)
  • 2nd line for the layout (how many columns)
  • 3rd line and all the next lines for the content (table rows)

In the example table above, there are two source rows for Voat sources and two more for external sources.

  • date: (when originally posted) Any date format you are familiar with (e.g. 5/21/17 or 2017-05-21)
  • username: (for Voat sources) You can add @ if you want the user to get a notification
  • subverse: (for Voat sources) You can add /v/ if you want to automatically link to the subverse too
  • author: (for external sources) The editor of an article. Sometimes not shared, in this case replace with " unknown "
  • domain: (for external sources) It's nice to share where your readers are taken to, for example " news.com "
  • topic: Written inside [ ] to create an inline link. Topic of the submission/article
  • link: Written inside ( ) to create an inline link. An url (http...)
  • archivelink: An url to the archive (http..)

ps. If you use more than 10 sources, it might be a good idea to add a reference column (numbered list) into left of the table. This can be achieved via adding " Ref| " into the topic line, " -| " into the layout line, then " 1| " into the first source line, " 2| " into the next, etc.

Archiving

IMPORTANT: Especially for external sources, archiving is essential, as the content might be removed from the original server. Additionally, it's good to capture screen shots or download the whole content for the most important sources. THE OTHER SIDE WE'RE AGAINST IS ACTIVELY REMOVING VALUABLE CONTENT FROM THE INTERNET to prevent citizen journalism and inverstigations.

How to archive your source

  1. In your browser, go to the source page and copy the url (http...)
  2. Visit http://archive.is (or any other web archive service) and paste the url into the search box

  3. If found, the source is already in the archive. You can copy the archive link from there

  4. If not found, select "archive this url" and "Save the page". Process starts. You can copy the archive link (http...) already while the archiving process is still running.
