I don't doubt that Jagger (with Marianne Faithful) first encountered Rupert L. via Christopher Gibbs. But it was because RL was desperately anxious to fix the right music for his 'royal ball', scheduled for July 1969 in a marquee tent in his back garden, that he appealed to Jagger for his expertise on the matter -- which task Jagger then promptly dumped on me, then personal assistant to the Stones. RL so was so pleased with the outcome (as consecrated by the presence of Mick & Marianne) that, out of gratitude, he had no hesitation in setting me up, in terms of capital, in a more or less mad rock'n'roll venture (ultimately unsuccessful). But it was only following Jagger's return circa September 1969 from making a movie in Australia that the idea occurred to him of enlisting RL to sort out the Stones' then hellish finances -- this after, out of poverty of any better idea as to what in hell to do, I half-jokingly invoked RL's name, proposing that perhaps we could do far worse than look to him for salvation. --- Many years later, in a new and different incarnation, I devoted a lengthy scholarly essay to Freud's most important early patient, his avowed 'prima donna' and psychoanalytic mentor whom I had identified through historical research as being the [Viennese Jewish] Baroness Anna von Lieben, geb. von Todesco. Opus Dei has come up more than once in Belgium conspiracy history. BOB officers Gerard Bihay and Guy Dussart informed congressional investigators during a closed session that they had been provided information by two nobles belonging to Opus Dei. These two informed the officers that at least 9 members of Opus Dei were involved in a plan to subvert the Belgian state. Several meetings between the conspirators, which included gendarmerie general Fernand Beaurir (accused of incest and pedophilia) and Paul Vanden Boeynants, would have taken place at Castle Dongelberg, an Opus Dei retreat (263). Interestingly, in 1996, both X2 (264) and Nathalie W. (265) mentioned Dongelberg in their testimonies, referring to it as a location where children had been abused by members of the network. X4 has testified that members of Opus Dei had been among her most sadistic clients (266).
