A bill in the CA State Senate will allow convicted first time pedophiles to avoid having to register as a sex offender if the ages of victim and perp are within ten years of one another. Which means a 20 year-old can take advantage of (effectively, rape) a 10 year-old and escape sex offender status with likely a very light sentence from the judge as well. In incremental fashion, it's evident that Leftists want to steadily erode the existing deterrents against pedophile behavior, and this is but one example.

CA Bill #SB145 is headed to Governor Newsom's desk where it will await his signature for adoption into CA law.
