In 2017, women represented 16% of the overall active duty force, up from 9% in 1980 and just 1% in 1970. The military is scarce for women. A '3' is like a '9' in the military.

In 2017, 57% of U.S. service members were white, 16% were black and 16% were Hispanic. Some 4% of all active duty personnel were Asian and an additional 6% identified as “other” or unknown. It is like living on the wrong side of town! AND THEY are given Preference (EEO/AA) over white Men!
