Found a video about a very sick game called Heart of Darkness.

Amazing Studios (studio behind the game) has a blatant boy lovers symbol as its logo.

The game depicts all sorts of methods of death of its child protagonist with brutal detail. Some of the deaths even leave behind a red shoe.

Turns out Steven Spielberg contacted the creators of the game about making a 3D animated film based on the game. Status of whether it got made or not unknown.
