LAKELAND, Fla. - The Polk County Sheriff's Office announced Monday the arrest of 16 men who allegedly possessed and distributed child pornography.
Investigators said a pharmacist, a nurse, and two theme park employees, as well as husbands and fathers, were among those arrested.
The arrests were a result of Operation Guardians of Innocence V, which is an ongoing investigation by the PCSO Computer Crimes Unit.
The suspects face more than 1,400 felony charges based on evidence including thousands of photos and videos depicting babies, toddlers, and children being forced to engage in sex acts, the sheriff's office said.
In a statement, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the materials are "horrific" and called the alleged behavior of the suspects "disgusting."
The sheriff's office said additional information would be released Tuesday morning.

A long time ago, when the Internet was in text only (and some of it ran at 110 bits per sec (sic)) I read 50 pages or so of claims that Disneyland had an elaborate scheme to abduct children by kidnapping them on one of the mountain rides. They didn't exactly describe the mechanics of this, whether individual kids were snatched from their parents in the dark or if entire cars were switched out of the ride.
Anyway, the sweet children were forced to watch Fantasia endlessly, with their eyes propped open like in A Clockwork Orange, until their minds turned to mush and they could be programmed into assassins or whatevers.
It sounded highly improbable at the time, but becomes somewhat less so with what we learn now.
I can't remember if Walt was portrayed as a Nazi anti-Semite or a Jewish paedophile. Or may he did a Jekyll & Hyde transformation as required.

There are a lot of disgusting stories from survivors of Disneyland and Disneyworld. Fiona Barnett said she was shipped to Disneyland from Australia.
