With all the top-level corruption in the UK Judicial System revealed by paedophiles Sir Jimmy Savile, Clement Freud, Prince Andy and many others, people may not be aware that the UK once had a law requiring disclosure of membership in a Masonic lodge by police or the judiciary.

There was in the UK a problem with the public perception of collusion between the police / judiciary and Masons that there was a law requiring disclosure.

Via Quora: "From 1999 to 2009, members of a Masonic lodge who were members of the judiciary or police force were required to declare their membership. This arrangement was ended by the same Home Secretary, Jack Straw, who brought it in, after it was, ultimately, deemed to be disproportionate and unnecessary, as there was no demonstrable evidence of the publically perceived bias of such individuals in favour of fellow Freemasons."

Do Freemasons in the UK police have to declare their status?
