Last week Phillip Schofield came out as gay on national television on the show he co-hosts called This Morning. Phillip Schofield is a hugely popular presenter and regularly hosts game shows, reality TV shows, documentaries and even prestigious television award ceremonies. Many people have grown up watching him as he started out hosting children's television shows.

Phillip Schofield is 57 and has been married to his wife for 27 years, they have two daughters. His family are all standing by him, as are the entire entertainment industry, calling him brave and heroic blah blah blah.

However rumours have began to question why Schofield felt the need to come out now. Obvious rumours are that a tabloid was preparing to expose him. But one story which people have connected to this coming out is from back in December when Schofields PA and runner, a young man in his 20s, suddenly quit. It came after rumours of toxic atmospheres and allegations that Schofield was a bully.

“For so long people have been silenced because they are scared for their job. If they speak out publicly about the atmosphere they fear there could be repercussions.”

The male runner, who had a close working relationship with Schofield, quit the show earlier this year and is now working on Loose Women - frequently fronted by Ruth Langsford, who has reportedly lodged an official complaint against Phil.

"It was odd because they were so close and then he up and went to Loose Women and they didn't seem to be talking much anymore,"

If we put Schofield feeling the need to come out and his close male runner abruptly quitting, it makes you wonder if they were in a relationship that turned sour. Did Ruth Langsford find out about the inappropriate behaviour and report it and this is what scared Schofield?

But now we get into something more worrying and possibly disturbing. Phillip Schofield is a patron for a children's drama school called the 2 Faced Theatre Company. How appropriate. It's at this theatre company where Schofield first met the man who would go on to become his close PA. The problem is the man was in fact a child of just 10 years old when Phillip Schofield posed in a photograph with him and other students.

Of course this is no proof of any wrong doing, but it does suggest he needs to be investigated by his bosses if any of the complaints have been about inappropriate behaviour with a member of staff that he would have had close links to since they were a young child.
