The only legit point the police made there was that there is a risk to herself. She knows this. Everyone else knows the police in UK are at the very least, influenced by, if not owned by the elite pedophile slave ring there.
I don't know what their laws are like, but the possibility of tainting a case shouldn't be discounted. What's a little weird is that she's not working with the police in an official way, but operating in what could be seen as a rogue way.
On the other hand, the Brit police are literally presenting themselves as homosexuals, freaks, and clowns, so I don't know the answer here.
