Sometimes I think they use the R Kelley thing as a distraction to the fact that much of the pedophilia that we don't hear about is pre-pubescent. Ironically, before they wanted to call priests pedophiles instead of homosexuals, the AMA changed the definition of pedophilia, which I had read used to be specifically sex with pre-pubescent children, not just "underage" people. You can be grossed out at someone 30 something "dating" a 17 year old. But you start talking about sex with kids under 12 or 13 and horrified is a better descriptor. Blind rage works too. I am a mom and have never raised a hand to anyone in my life ever. But if I witnessed that kind of abuse of a child, I would be capable of just about anything. It is truly the most evil thing imaginable to me.
